Paula Byrne, PhD. is a British biographer, literary critic, and novelist, renowned for her deep dives into literary figures like Jane Austen and Evelyn Waugh, often focusing on women's hidden histories, as seen in her bestsellers The Real Jane Austen and Kick: The True Story of JFK's Sister. She will be discussing her latest book, Six Weeks by the Sea, a historical novel imagining Jane Austen's first love during a family holiday in the summer of 1801, exploring a long-debated question about her romantic life.
